Welcome to the Renfroe Piano Studio!

I have been in love with the piano since I was 6 years old and it has been a constant friend and source of joy throughout my life.  Sharing the joy of music-making in lessons is my calling. Seeing a student light up when they play a piece well or hear a phrase in a new way fuels my energy as a teacher. Music can reach parts of us that nothing else can.  All students deserve access to the arts through musical expression.

As a military wife I have set up studios in many states and abroad and was always welcomed into the community.  I have been fortunate to be able to teach in universities as well as in my home, and have experience with all ages and levels but currently am devoting my focus to middle and high school students- and a few adults -who play at an intermediate level or above.

I believe it is important to give back to my community and am an active member of the Jacksonville Music Teachers Association, Florida State Music Teachers Association, and the Music Teachers National Association.  I am the immediate past president of the JMTA and currently serve as the Program Chair. In 2025 I served as the Florida State Conference Chair.

I serve as the accompanist for the Amelia Island Singers and also enjoy subbing for organists in the area who need a week off.
